Welcome to
Kennel Akidan - American Akita
We are a family of four living in Jels by Roedding.
The family consists Anette and Allan and our two boys Nicklas and Martin
We have had show dogs for almost 25 years and started in 1988 with Rottweilers, as we spent a lot of time at exhibitions and obedience contests.
For several years we used virtually all our time on our three Rottweilers, and obtained a large number of top results in both exhibitions and obedience contests. Our top Rottweiler "CH Orri" reached beyond Danish Championate to be top dog of the year in The Rottweiler Club in 1991 and dominated the exhibition rings for many years. "Orri" was also a widely used stud dog, who has given many wonderful puppies that have characterized the Rottweiler breed in the right direction.
We've even had two puppies after him, "Dravdes Ekido" and "Dravdes Gipzy" (Ziggy). For many years we were in the top three in Denmark in the highest competition classes. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our last Rottie Ziggy because of age in March 2010. She was almost 16 years old.
In 1995 we bought our first Border Terrier from Kennel Hjelme. It was the start of many years of good experience with this wonderful breed. We got with this breed our kennel name and we have bred several litters of border terriers with our Champion bitch "CH Hjelmes Macy Magic" . We only have Mickey at 11½ years left, who is one of our own puppies.
We do not breed Border Terrier any longer.

American Akita
In 2008 we bought our first American Akita - "Max". and after many years of interest in the breed.
We chose the American Akita, due to the distinctive temperament, and of course due to a fantastic beautiful exterior. The Akita is very special and with the proper upbringing it will be a wonderful family member.
Our goal is to breed healthy and typical American Akitas in absolute excellent quality. In preparation for that, we changed our previous FCI kennel name - Revsø's to our new FCI kennel name Akidan.
The American Akita is not the easiest breed to handle and educate why we would not recommend the breed to people who have not had demanding dog breeds before.
